The Fitting Room
Get better at dressing like yourself.
Maybe you’ve bought better clothes but still wear them in the same few combinations. Maybe you understand the Archetypes but struggle to see how they should show up in your wardrobe. Or you want to try something different but can’t tell whether it works on you.
You can spend a lot of time thinking about this stuff without getting much better at doing it.
The Fitting Room is where we work on it together.
Each month, we focus on something you can practice with your own clothes. You share what you’re trying, explain what you want it to do, and get feedback from me and other guys who understand the principles behind it. When you need something new, you can get help figuring out what to buy and where to find it.
The goal is to get better at making those decisions yourself. To know how to put an outfit together, understand why it works, and have it communicate what you want it to.

What you’ll work on
Figuring out what works for you
An outfit can look great on someone else and feel completely wrong when you wear it. We talk about your personality, your life, and what you want your appearance to communicate so you have something useful to judge your clothes against.
Getting more out of what you own
Before you decide you need something new, learn what else you can do with what’s already in your closet. Try different combinations, change the context, and see how the same piece can contribute to very different looks.
Knowing what to buy and where to find it
Sometimes you do need something new. You can ask for help finding a piece, figuring out which brands to look at, or deciding whether something you’re considering will work with your wardrobe and what you want your style to do.
Understanding why an outfit feels off
Sometimes you know something isn’t working but can’t explain it. Share a photo and tell us what you’re going for. We can help you figure out whether it’s the fit, the combination, the energy, or something else, and give you something specific to try.
Expanding what you’re comfortable wearing
You don’t have to make a dramatic change to develop your style. You can experiment, get feedback, and find out where a little more expression feels right for you.
Over time, you should have a better understanding of your wardrobe and your own judgment. You’ll have a reason for choosing what you wear beyond “these things usually go together.”
The idea behind The Fitting Room
Figure it out in here then feel confident out there.
Think about being in a fitting room with someone who knows what he’s looking at and wants you to look good.
You can talk about what you’re trying to accomplish, try something you’re not sure about, and ask why an outfit feels off - even when you can’t explain what’s wrong with it.
That’s the idea behind The Fitting Room.
It’s a private place to work on how you dress with people who understand what you’re doing and have your best interests in mind. You can share an outfit, explain what you want it to communicate, and get help figuring out where it’s working and where it needs an adjustment.
You work through those snags in here so you can walk out into your actual life feeling confident in what you’re wearing.
And it's not just about the basics like fit, proportion, and color. Those matter but the guys here also understand style the way Tanner talks about it - energy, communication, self-perception, and more.
A good fitting room isn't a place for an expert to project his style onto you but to help you discover your own and get really good at expressing it your way.
How it works
A different focus each month
We take one part of developing your style and work on it with your own wardrobe. You’ll have something specific to try and a place to talk through what happens.
Outfit feedback, shopping help, and conversation
Share what you’re wearing, what you want it to communicate, and where you’re getting stuck. Ask about something you’re thinking of buying or get help finding what’s missing.
You’ll get feedback from me and other members, and develop your eye by looking at what they’re trying too.
Two group calls a month with me
We talk through the month’s focus, answer questions, and work through things guys are running into with their outfits, shopping, and developing their style.

November’s focus
Expanding Your Range
Most guys wear the same pieces in the same combinations. You find a shirt that works with a certain pair of pants, and that becomes the outfit.
This month, we’re going to see what else those clothes can do.
We’ll work on pairing familiar pieces with different things, dialing formality and conformity up or down, and making adjustments for a stronger expression of each Archetype.
One exercise will be an outfit chain. On Tuesday, you keep at least one piece from Monday but build a different look around it. On Wednesday, you carry something over from Tuesday. It doesn’t have to be the same piece all week.
The point is to get you seeing possibilities in your wardrobe that you haven’t been using, then understand how to make them work.
Come in and try it.
Bring an outfit you have a question about. Tell us what you want it to do, get some feedback, and try an adjustment.
Or bring something you’re considering buying and we can talk through whether it makes sense for you.
That’s a good place to start.
